"One day I was sitting in my room, watching the rain through the window. It was late afternoon, quite dark around. The drops were hitting the glass from the outside - for me it was only a rumbling. I also heard a subtle drone but I couldn't think a way where it comes from. There should be only silence around but I still heard these drones. Was it in my head? One important thing: that rain lasted four hours. Fot this whole time I was sitting there, looking, listening. Apart from anything I grew to love all this, as it was a serene feeling. And so I wanted You too be able to feel it. To dive into this stillness of subtle changes. To let the time stop in Your head when You allow melancholy to rule over Yourself."

"inside my room..." is of my favourite sleepytime soundtracks - But this epic piece doesn't work for me only as a relaxing background sound. It also contains subtle variations and cycles, and lots of emotion, expressed in a very discreet way, without useless pathos or affectation.
The warm, melancolic synth layer(s?) blend perfectly with the rain sound to create a thoughtful, contemplative atmosphere that never bores me - on the contraty these endlessy drifting sounds are hypnotizing like staring at the sea, or at the rain of course...

EPIC release. Just stunning. One of the best longform ambient pieces ever made. Every time I hear it I love it more.

There aren't many pieces of music you can stand to listen to for 4 hours. This is one of them. You don't really listen to it anyway, you submerge into it. And when it's over you just want to fall back into it.

This beautiful production (recording? It's unclear) reminds me once again that We are made of Sounds and Scents.

Utterly beautiful. If you are one of those people who loves the rain, and finds God in the rain, you must hear this.
